Working in conjunction with Central Bedfordshire and Bedfordshire Borough Council, Gallagher will be delivering six schools within the Wixams development meeting the full age range educational requirements of its residents.
The exact nature and distribution of the schools will be evolved as the Councils requirements for a two or three tier school policy is determined, but the first phase of implementation is complete with Lakeside Lower School now open and successfully serving the community.
The first phase of Lakeside Lower School and nursery opened in September 2009 with the second phase recently completed in November 2010, providing a modern fully equipped learning environment for the 21st century.

Future development within Village Two will see the provision of middle/upper tier schools meeting the long term educational needs of Wixams residents.
Enabling works within Village Two will be commenced in 2011 paving the way for the opening of a secondary education facility in 2014.
