Working in conjunction with Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedfordshire Borough Council, Gallagher will be delivering schools within the Wixams development meeting the full age range educational requirements of its residents.
The exact nature and distribution of the schools will be evolved as the Councils requirements for a two or three tier school policy is determined, but the first phase of implementation is complete with Lakeside Lower School now open and successfully serving the community.
Lakeview School is a modern well equipped school for children aged 3-9. The school motto is 'Where the learning adventure begins' and has got off to a flying start with an Ofsted rating of 'Outstanding' in 2010/11.
A dawn to dusk before and after school club service is available for busy parents.

Future development within Village Two will see the provision of middle/upper tier schools meeting the long term educational needs of Wixams residents.
Enabling works within Village Two will be commenced in 2011 paving the way for the opening of a secondary education facility in 2014.
