Site preparation works for the next phase of development in 2012/13 will be commencing in Jan 2011 with a follow on contract to deliver Greenway B in summer 2011.

Greenway B will provide a green landscape buffer between Lakeside and Village Two ensuring that each village retains its own local identity and feel whilst providing full connectivity and permeability of movement across ‘Wixams’.

Greenway B will incorporate two sports pitches together with further water features, allotments, children’s play area and natural eco biodiversity area. Leisure walks will thread through the open space and link back onto the more formal footway cycleway network making this a space that can be accessed and enjoyed by all.

These green landscape fingers will extend into a comprehensive green network that binds the Wixams together.
